Otherwise, regardless of how fast or strong you are, saddle time and other factors will kick in. sure...but some naive racer dnfing on a
brevet is a different thing altogether from preparing for a club/charity ride. and, in my experience, cyclists who ride
frequently often fare better on their first century than people who focus on a few longish training rides.
