I have the black plastic cap that covers the valve but when I unscrewed that cap it revealed the stem in the pic that I took of my bike.

I was always able to use the standard air machine at gas stations to fill the tires with air but it looksa like that adapter was either lost or stolen.

Are you saying its just a cheap screw on adapter that I need to convert the Presta valve to the Shrader?
