Wha? You should google clip on aerobar and I think you'll see how far away they should be from each other. It's certainly not shoulder width, that'd put them out by the drops.
Lol, yeah, perhaps I overstated that
I actually was just doing what you suggested and I can see that most setups appear to have them clipped on pretty close to the stem. Guess I'll give that a try later today and see if that makes a difference. I'm going to feel dumb if that's all it was; I hate being a newbie at this stuff! Thanks everyone for your input.
