This. I was able to replace the majority of nuts and bolts w/stainless from the local Ace Hardware. Many nuts available as "nylock" and/or acorn nuts. Plastic bag on the saddle, lube the U-lock as well. "Cat Eye" strobes are more water resistant than most of the others. If it was my kid, I'd buy him some waterproof socks.
