I am a retired machinist and manager of a large machine shop \ production facility and I haven't been involved with needing to repair bicycles since the kids were small. How does that old adage go - "Little kids = little problems - Big kids = bigger problems"! Just starting to dig into these newly engineered (and I use that term lightly) devices and there seems to be a lot of different manufacturers with many different variations of similar components that perform the same task.
