WD40 dry bike chain lube

Just to be clear, I'm not talking regular WD40 here.

I recently tried WD40's dry bike chain lube and it seems to be doing the job so far. I started with a used chain, thoroughly cleaned with real mineral spirits, and applied the WD "liberally" per instructions and wiped the excess after spinning the crank for a while. Drive train is very quiet and very clean after a couple of average rides (paved 30-50 miles in dry weather). WD states that their dry lube is not a wax, so I'm interested in how it holds up as my one complaint about the wax lubes I have used is that they need frequent reapplication, especially if it is the least bit damp. I'd like to find a clean, dry lube that works well and lasts for a decent amount of time without leaving my chain creaking like an old lady in a rocking chair after a drizzle or light shower.

Has anyone else tried the WD40 dry under varied conditions? How did you like it?

Does anyone use two different lubes based on conditions? Do you clean your chain when switching from wet to dry lube?
