Let it dry out slowly so it doesn't shrink or put it in a plastic bag with a 5lb dessicant pack. You may need to wave a magic wand over it, or at least burnish it, but don't touch it. Touch wood! In the future always remember to leave a 1-cent plastic grocery bag covering your $140 19th-century saddle. And try not to think about all the nasty chemicals used in leather treatment leeching into your butt.
