You sound like me, I have been riding for 30 years but the last 10 years I have been on a saddle quest, trying and/or buying 3-4 saddles a year. Half the time they were test saddles and could be returned but others were later put up for sale after. So speaking from experience, the greatest improvement in comfort for me came from switching to a 28 mm tire back and running at 70psi...
