Bikes: C-dale T800

Didn't pull the trigger on a Volpe

Just got to vent. I've been thinking that I could use a good 'all around' bike, since the c-dale is going to go to a full out loaded touring configuration, and with the extra weight and low gears it won't be a particulary 'sporty' ride, but supurb for what I want it for, a good solid plow horse. My Motobecane is a joy to ride, but not going to get a rack mounted on it, it's a race horse. I was thinking that a Bianchi Volpe would be perfect for my needs, it's steel, (which I don't have), Italian (which I don't have), and a good 'everyday' bike.

Saw one on ebay at the end of lunch today, my size, this year's model, very good shape. Had a 'buy-it-now' price of 600 bucks. I thought, "I've got to get class started, but they will be hitting the lab in about 1 hour, so I'll buy it then before it gets snatched up. You can guess the rest.

ARRRGHHHH!!!!!! CURSES!!!!!!!!!! IT BURNS!!!!!!!! IT BURNS!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I'm ok now. just had to vent, and since nobody I work with would even begin to understand, I had to come here.

Who will perform a prostate exam with a garden gnome on the first person who makes a crack about scoring a great deal on a Volpe today
