In the absence of evidence that either one is lying I have no problem believing them both. You report that regular bicycles cause you considerable discomfort and I have no reason to believe that your statement is untrue. But similarly I see no reason to doubt the experience of many others (incl. myself) who repeatedly go on long rides on such bikes without undue discomfort and find it to be an enjoyable pastime. People do differ in their physiology and some activities that others enjoy may well cause me pain and vice versa - why assume that anyone reporting an experience that differs from your own must be incorrect?
