I went to my local LBS Friday to look at the Trek Shift 2 and also looked at a Shift 3 when I was there. The Shift 3 has a lot of features I like so I would probably be willing to get it over the Shift 2. Except - what concerns me is the Shimano EF65, 8 speed Trigger Shifters on the Shift 3. I am used to twist shifters. I would like comments from bikers who have used both. Are the trigger shifters OK? Hard to get used to? I am also trying to look at the Giant Sedona DX but the local store does not have one. Closest store with one is about 20 miles. The Trek LBS is about about 1 mile from me.
