Country ham is a special thing. Yes, I have my sources for local pork, beef, lamb, eggs and butter. But I actually buy supermarket butter because the local source of butter is inconsistent. Probably like her cows.
Our local butter maker makes great consistent product, but Mrs. rjones28 uses supermarket butter for baking. The "good stuff" is like $6-pound. We use it when you can actually taste the butter.
