The Lotus is a 1984 Unique.

The photographs don't show much detail, but there are a few clues there to know for sure. The chrome fork crown in particular, which is probably engraved with a Lotus flower and the seat stay caps are engraved with the Lotus name. Also the Suntour Blue Line equipment was unique to the Unique.

In the Lotus line the Unique was one step above the best-selling and very popular Excelle. The Unique was designed for the cycling enthusiast who preferred a lower-priced but sporty bike. The Unique had features and styling of higher-priced bikes, like narrow tires and rims, no chain guard on the crank, quill pedals with toe clips and no extension levers on the brakes.

That particular model in the photos looks relatively original and still has the original Kashimax saddle (which should have a reflective Lotus decal on the back).

I think wrk101 has the price right $175.00 to $250.00. It's a bike worth owning, 1984 Lotus bikes are some of the best.
