I've also drilled vintage crank arms, and they haven't broken after a few thousand miles. Drilled a blackspire chain ring too.
I also ride a carbon road bike fixed, everybody had a fit about that. I have dirt drops on the too BMC, oooh no.
I used an ISM adamo seat until it wore out, everybody hated that.
I had a Colossi Superb for a few months, everybody was jelly of that naturally.
I have a 25mm tire mounted on a 28mm wide rim right now, I'm sure that seems crazy.

Go ahead and explain the differences between a $70 FSA chainring and a $30 rocket ring for us though, and tell us how in a "blind" test you could feel the difference between the two.
