A 7005 aluminum chainring will wear longer than a 6061 aluminum chainring. That's obviously a nice feature. You are probably right that nobody could tell the difference in stiffness between the two, but you are still kind of a jackass with a penchant for flaunting your expensive yet questionable taste.
