TO my understanding of the law, If its a MUP(Multi-Use-Path) then pedestrians/cyclist have the same right of way as others, basicly stay in your lane and pass only when safe
If there is a specific pedestrian path and different bicycle path, then the rollerblader's/wierdos get on the pedestrian path...These two seperations are pretty rare
If I am on the road, I do not expect rollerbladers to be coming at me in the opposite direction of traffic. First of all, they weave in and out and take a huge portion of the road. I think its ok for runners/pedestrians to be going the opposite direction on the road, but never thought that rollerbladers had those rights as well....
I personally do not like rollerbladers, why? Because they always have their headphones on, weave IN AND OUT of whatever they're doing, and are oblivious to laws. Sometimes I will get on the MUP to head to my parents house and I see one infront of me, it takes me forever to get around them. I yell at them with no luck, trying to pass them is too dangerous because they're weaving into the whole lane and will hit you, and going slow behind them is aggravating(they're doing like 5mph princing around)
They should be on the same path as runners because the speed that they carry is identical. Road? I would not agree with that
