The pump is pretty pathetic. On one trip, I deflated the tires about halfway since it would go as checked luggage. It took forever to pump up at the hotel. Because you're normally inflating it to reasonably high pressures, I bought a small hand pump with a fold out foot stand. Much better. I keep the included pump on the bike for looks because I'm vain....
