You've got your exotics (Ferrari, Lambos etc) - Crumptons, Paketas... custom carbons with DI2/super light weight
You've got your euro/Asian luxury (MB, BMW, Audi, Acura) - Cervelo, Colnago, Bianchi
You've got your Asian/domestic normals (Honda, Ford, Chevy, Dodge) - Specialized, Trek, Cannondale, Raleigh, Kona

HA! I essentially have the KIA of racing bikes now (as said above, 2012 Schwinn Paramount 5). I am OK with that and it's not holding me back in CAT 5 races. It has Shimano 105's which are acceptable. I also stuck a Mavic Cosmic rim on the back since the original rear rim busted. I really wanted to get into the road racing scene and it was the best I could afford at the time, even after the sale price. Once I get good enough to the point where the bike makes a difference then I would consider moving up, or when it comes to a point that the necessary upgrades will come close to the cost of a new bike.
