That number indicates the frame was built in
June 1969, however Schwinn often held those frames in inventory for months or even years before building them into bikes. In other words that could be a 1969, 1970 or maybe even a '71 model. The biggest differences between those model years was that in '69 the original rear derailleur would have been a Schwinn Approved (no other designation) unit with a 14-28T freewheel, while in '70 and '71 it would have come with a GT-100 derailleur and a 14-32T freewheel. In '71 the kickstand and cam were changed. Post some close-up pics of the derailleur and kickstand (also post the number stamped into the stand near the top) and we should be able to confirm. The hubs should also have date code stamps and be sure to check both the left rear dropout and the base of the head tube for serial numbers, as some bikes around that time had them in both places, with different numbers.
