I checked today, and all of the 7.2s in my shop have Alivio instead of Acera. More than likely, it's a case of where "specifications are subject to change." At least it's an upgrade in this case! I sent an email this afternoon to the same guy at Trek who replied to my previous question to confirm that it was merely a spec change.
