I get a good workout on the elliptical machine - get a kick out of dripping sweat next to the posers who stride at 30rpm while updating their social media.
When I was recovering from my broken pelvis I couldn't put any weight on one leg though so I had to use the stationary recumbent... boy THAT'S embarrassing; except I made sure my crutches were in clear view so no one would mistake me for a tosser.
