Yeah, I look at that as plan B. Ideally, I can find a purple one that is ready to rock. Although, I've been able to convince him that a black bike would be just as fun, and we can paint part of it purple if he wants. powdercoating is going to add way too much to the cost of a new bike, unless I can get a nice used bike that just needs new color and a tune-up.

Thanks for the Electra link... I'd not considered them yet. I do like the black mini rod with the flames... and I think my son would also like it. Might have to take the kids to the LBS this weekend to look at one.
