It was, but it instantly brought me to reality as to the very big chasm of racing in France versus US. Much harder over there and they all attack constantly. Not to mention that there is nowhere near the amount of Idiotproofing that is so prevalent here in the US. Meaning the roads are what they are , tricky sometimes dangerous, always challenging as far as technical challenge.

But I was a guest with a local club and they treated me as if I was actually part of their club. Support was so thorough that I just needed to show up and ride.
