The guy who thinks they know what they are doing probably doesn't have the first clue on how to properly adjust it. I've adjusted deraillieurs for people, the next thing I know they make their own adjustments , because they can't put it in the small ring on the back and the granny gear on the front without it rubbing all over the place.
