Cyclist hitting each other on head on collisions can only happen on bike paths. Otherwise it would be someone's fault for not following the law
This happened to me (not that I'm proud of it).
I thought the battery in my Nightrider headlight had enough juice to complete the ride ... NOT!
I thought I could see well enough to make it back to the car ... NOT!
I didn't think there would be someone else dumb enough to be out there without a light .... NOT!!
One second I'm straining to see where I'm going, the next second I see someone's eyeball right in front of my nose ... then it's: sky-ground-sky-ground-*STARS!*
We didn't hit heads, but it was violent enough to leave us both splayed out on the ground for 5 minutes, unable to get up. Someone else eventually ambled along and helped us out.
No major injuries (this time) ... valuable lesson learned ... bring a backup battery !!!
