Long story short, I'm wondering how one would continue to use one of these lights should anything happen to the little tabs/hooks used with o-rings to mount?

Reason why I ask is that the other day my o-ring snapped while bringing the bike out of the garage and the light head fell into my hand. If it had snapped while riding at speed...
