Being more specific, you need an Octalink V2 BB
Shimano ES51 Octalink Bottom Bracket | Chain Reaction Cycles you will need to measure up for what you need. (should be 68 x to match what is currently fitted)
For the quote the LBS gave you, if you don't have the tools, it's a pretty good deal.
