Kayaking on Ft. Gibson Lake 8/10/14 (for Velo Vol)
Got a late start, so did not get to the lake until almost 10am. The heat was coming up already (one of the hottest days of the year high was 98) But made it out and saw lots of birds (no raptors today). Only got pics of the Egrets since a cell phone is not the best for bird pics. But it was pretty choppy, so thank goodness for my CF paddle to generate good power. Listened to a good Grateful Dead show from 1990 to keep up the pace.
