What setup had ye? One time my LBS convinced me I could install a new 12x30 rear cassette and mate it to the original short-cage RD and 53x39 FD without replacing the chain or derailleur . . . and without issue.
Turns out, there were issues.
it was and i mean "was" all good ,12-25 with 39/53, I"am already looking foward to my next build , oh and the carbon fork is already off the bike and listed on ebay
