So a minute ago I went and looked back at some of my Strava data:
Windmill Century: 5,439 ft.
Solvang Century: 5,679 ft.
Cruisin' the Conejo: 6,289 ft.
Cool Breeze Hilly Century route: 7,900 +/-
Regular Cool Breeze route: 5,400 +/-
Some of my CVC buddies are doing the Double Metric. Not me...
Question going through my head is whether I really need the additional exercise versus being able to avoid that under-construction section of bike lane running along the freeway. Hmm. Any thoughts from those who've done this ride in prior years?

Of course you need to do the hilly century, what kind of question is that? Besides, the regular century is only 96 miles. It's a faux century.
They overstate the hills too - regular century was only 4,288 last year according to my garmin and even the "hilly" century is only 6,000 feet according to ridewithgps.
2013 CB Hilly Century - Ventura, CA (the route they put up had a big error at the end). Of course, I only got 5899 out of Conejo, maybe you did the Rock Store twice?
