Oh just noticed that you asked about using a 11 speed chain on a 10 speed system. That would be a big NO. The 11 speed chain is narrower then the 10 speed and as such wont engage the teeth on the cogs correctly. Never mix chains on different systems each is designed to work with it's mate.
10 speed chains are fine on a 9 speed drivetrain, but I've never tried an 11speed chain on a 10 speed drivetrain.
