Hey everyone. I am taking a last minute trip from Portland to Santa Cruz for work. The job doesn't start until Sept 2nd so I figured I'd bike there and enjoy the coast.

I am still working out the plan. I'd like to get to SF in 6 - 7 days. I plan on spending a night or two there with family and then finishing up the last 100 miles to Santa Cruz.

Would love to get some tips for anyone thats done this.

Campsites. Food. Theft? Secret spots. Etc.
