i think i must be a slob. i met up with ms coasting for dinner after i had a meeting with a client. i was dressed smartly in a suit. she didn't recognised me and then said why did i never dress up when i am with her. i said i was trying to impress someone i.e. the client. it's a matter of courtesy to dress smartly when meeting a client.
obviously being a woman she took this to mean that i didn't need to impress her nor be courteous to her. then she went off to see a play, which i refused to see because i wouldn't appreciate it.
does this make me sound like a totally uncouth oaf? it's not true. i am very cultured.
