After almost 2 months of riding around with no bar wrap, wobbly wheels, brakes on the wrong sides, and pedals that didn't fit straps, I've straightened everything out after an unexpected day off. Borrowed the park tools truing stand from a friend and fixed the wheels, flipped the brakes, put new pedals with straps on, and wrapped the bars with leather cord to match the tires. I'd probably still like to find a slightly more plush seat, and probably put the old Sugino cranks back on now that I have a correct bb for it.

I have never seen bars wrapped like this before. Can you explain the process a bit? I'm curious to know how the bottom layer of leather wrap was installed, as it appears to be perpendicular to the direction of the wrap. (Sorry, struggling for how to describe it).
