Learning to ride brakeless takes a bit of time and practice. I would suggest you get that front brake and have that installed while you learn. It's just nice to have when you need to stop but can't. I would not ride brakeless until you have spent many months riding with a brake and notice that it isn't being used.

I rode for a few months and got comfortable, then I kept my brake on and started trying to ride without using it, but it was there for emergencies.
Then my next bike came with no brakes, and I made it work.
