Greetings From Maine

I'm a 43 year old guy who has recently gotten back into the fold of biking. I rode as a teenager in the 1980's with dreams of becoming my idol, Greg Lemond, raced in a few races, but got discouraged and my life changed. I stopped riding, stopped knowing why I loved cycling. Twenty some years later I'm a husband and father and both my wife and I decided to get in better shape. We bought our two sons their first bikes and found two second hand rides for ourselves at the local bike swap. I'm back now. I remember why I loved riding, even though I'm riding a mountain bike on the road I look forward to each new ride. I still suck wind on every climb and though I get disappointed sometimes after rides, my mind turns to the next ride five minutes later. I'm only riding like a max of ten miles at a time, its hard finding time to ride along with family and a 40 hour a week job, but I'm loving it. I've been losing some weight and no doubt my climbing will get easier when I lose maybe another 20-30 pounds, but I'm riding again! Hope to be a regular contributing member of this forum.
