It's not for the timid. I was willing to take calculated risks, but could never completely trust my fellow racers. 55+ started to earn that trust, but I blew it, and raced with the 45+ Cat 4's, and the rest is history. There is no rush like it. The intensity, the physical exertion, and how far one must push to try and achieve a goal, were bad while in the moment, but awesome once the race was over. I never achieved anything close to the success I planned on, but it wasn't from lack of trying.
I think you would have enjoyed it as well. I think most of the folks here would enjoy it, as after all, the name of the thread is Addiction.
I know that I'd love it. But there is no way I ever would.
