So it's been raining almost everyday here and i leave my bike parked outside for several hours while i am at work. I've seen bikes like Flying Pigeon type with thick grease/grease-like substance on their chains and i am thinking of putting it on my chain, just during the rainy season.

The reason i want to do it is to reduce the frequency of lubrication. Yes or no? And why?
