Talk to a physical therapist and see if there's a way to tape it. I had to tape (using McConnell tape) my right patella over this summer because of imbalances from knee injuries sustained while being mowed down by a car. I can't imagine a brace small enough to not knock the top tube (had a couple of those too this year) and to not chafe away parts of the leg while cycling.
