. I am home now applying Guinness to my wounds.
Car exiting the highway ran a clearly marked stop sign. He slowed like he was going to stop, then pulled out into us (just two riders). We both pushed left to avoid him as best we could, but oncoming traffic imposed a hard stop. The rider in front hit the SUV, I hit his rear wheel (on his three month old Litespeed) and then we were both ricocheting down the tarmac™.
The guy did stop and call 911. The ambulance bandaged up my arm, as I was planning to ride home, until I figured out the bike was unrideable. My companion went and got his truck and gave me a ride home.
I imagine I will be hurting in a few hours. Knee, hip, elbow took the worst of it.
I averaged 18.4 mph on 48 miles up to that point. No Zymphad units were applied to that.
Ouch. Must be nice, having an ER connection.
Guinness makes everything better.
