The bars already have some pretty cushy tape on them, and I'm wearing gel padded gloves, too. But with >80% riding on the hoods you don't really get any advantage from the cushioned tape until you go to the drops. I guess I'm mainly curious as to whether carbon bars are more flexible to the extent that they become a sort of shock absorber.
