Paul has always been a bike nut, well known for it. Travels with a bike which he rides every day and I understand insists on riding before every concert performance.

He and his first wife sponsored a pro Bike Team for a while as well. Seeing him on a bike doesn't surprise me at all and given he takes one on tour - the fixie makes sense as there is less to get buggered up with all the handling.
