from your "Pictures" it doesnt look like you have any slack in that chain at all, it looks tight which can also cause noise.

loosen it up a bit, quit worrying about noises so much. my chainline is off by 2 to 3mm and no problems.

this is my chain slack, some may say its too loose or maybe not enough ?? but i have zero problems. no binding ect. **** before i ran a biopace chainring which is of an oval design so when i adjusted for chain slack i had to adjust from the tightest point "without binding" because at another point on a biopace is very loose by design but not intended for a singlespeed but for a bike with a chain tensioner
