No problem with that. They are held onto the rack with 2 bolts/side and don't rotate or twist.

It took me about 5 minutes to have it on the bike and ready to go. I have a 25mm tire and it's close. No problem though with rack, just watch bungees and tie downs for rubbing----esp if you hang panniers off of it.
