Look for a rattle can clear coat that states it has UV protection
Do yourself a favor. Do not go by a can of rustoleum, Duplicolor , etc...or other rattle can enamel / lacquer clear. They will not offer very good protection, or last long. If you must get a rattle can, see a body shop supply & get a 2k urethane can. Your other option is to stop by a body shop & ask them to clear it. As small as the cranks are, for a few bucks they can probably shoot them while / when finishing a job with left over material in the ***.
