I'm new to Folders... just bought a vintage Boardwalk D6 looks to be circa 1980's? The frame hinge mechanism seems very loose and the springs are not connected and just hanging. It doesn't give me confidence if I ride over bumpy roads... Same with the locking mechanism on the handlebars, I guess I could just throw bungees on the handles for peace of mind. But it seems to ride okay, but very slow compared to my 21 lb Nishiki 12 speed Tri-A road bike which is my daily rider... I had to pay a lot of money for this old bike as L.A. seems to be a very hot market for Dahons
