What rear shock is on it. A Fox Alps series or a Fox something else. I just rebuilt an Alps for a Y bike owner. Some suspension shop in Canada botched it real bad. The ALPs is a good shock and should be fine if rebuilt. One internal part is not available, but seals and dust seals are (just had to restock).

I looked at this frame when it was on ebay....... it has a "Fox Float RP3", seller said it hadn't been touched in years but held air. As you recommend PK he should go through the suspension (13 year old frame) , its a old frame that looks to have been ridden.
