Wow, just finished a short (60 mile) trip here in St Louis area. The sun felt like a knife cutting any exposed skin, the heat was/remains very oppressive, and the air was approaching the category of "liquid" due to heavy humidity. It was a punishing ride, but better than couch sitting just to watch the Cardinals lose badly to the Phils. Definitely enjoyed it when a string of 7-8 young ladies blew past me, all wearing some sort of school shirts and white short-shorts... They seem to be holding a nicely coordinated pace line at about 30-35 mph and riding with at most 4 inches between them. Wow; make old men smile!
