There are other helmets that offer integrated lights. The Lazer Urbanize did it in 2009. And it wasn't the first one. There have been lots of helmets with integrated tail lights. None of them have been very poplular because, just like the Torch, they don't offer sufficient lighting for the cost. They are also, just like the Torch, sacrificial.

Like what? I suppose that having a helmet that can brew coffee or make breakfast for you might have some benefit but a helmet's primary...nay, it's only...function is to provide impact protection.

The least you could do is be honest and quote me in context. Yes, the goal of the Torch helmet is to make a helmet with lights but there is a difference between "light" and illumination.
