My Peugeot has center-pull brakes with no upper eyelets on the seat stays (it does have the lower eyelets by the dropouts). Can I mount a Wald 215 on this? It looks like the rack is meant to mount directly to the brake mount, but the cable is in the way. Is there some adapter bracket to go around the brake cable to P claps on the stays?

If not, can someone recommend a sturdy, classic-looking rear rack with different mounting hardware to go around the brake cable?
